The role of a IR CoOrdinator is to manage the register of live cases – investigations, grievances etc., to ensure effective, timely case management of people related issues.
You will also coordinate arrangement of ER cases on a timely basis in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the MEH IR Manager with the provision of day-to-day advice and guidance to supervisors and managers.
 - Liaise with MEHJV parent companies HR / IR teams as required
 - Support MEH Local Joint Council meetings, acting as note-taker.
 - Liaise with HPC recognised Trade Union Convenors as required.
 - Support IR Manager in project work.
 - Consistently act with integrity and confidentiality.
 - Compile IR weekly management reports activities.
 - Advise and coach managers to effectively manage Employee Relations issues in line with HPC Common Framework Agreement.
 - All other duties as required.
 - Provide monthly metrics on number of cases, stages etc.
 - Flag to IR Manager risk of timescales not being met.
 - Support ER/IR change initiatives and projects.
 - Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters, displaying appropriate judgement and initiative when required.
 
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
- Previous HR or ER experience preferred
 - CIPD Level 3 or Level 3 CertRP or working towards
 - Excellent MS office skills – particularly MS Excel
 - Strong administrative and decision making skills.
 - High attention to detail
 - Excellent communicator
 - Previous experience in a Trade Union/construction environment advantageous
