Job Description

This company is recruiting for a HS&E Manager to provide support to the project team during EPC Delivery, in the development of HSE Management Plans, deployment of Company QHS&E Policy and delivery of business goals.

You will support the Project Team in delivering effective HS&E performance whilst engendering a positive safety culture and minimising environmental impacts.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Project Manager, in developing and applying the company HS&E Policies and strategies and promoting a positive HS&E culture to achieve successful HS&E performance
  • Evaluating RFQ/ITT documentation and associated Planning Permission applications
  • Evaluating project specific PCI Documentation, Residual Risk documents and other documents provided by the Client and/or Principal Designer
  • Develop tactical level engagement strategies that facilitate achievement of Company HS&E goals as well as Project and Legislative requirements
  • Supporting and coordinating the efforts required to meet applicable Planning Permission conditions
  • Support the Project team in effective management of suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Report on performance trends and deployment of Performance Improvement Initiatives
  • Development and management of Project CPP’s, CEMP’s, SWMP’s, Aspects & Impact Assessments and other key deliverables required within the Projects
  • Effective management of Project HSE resources and reports
  • Coordinate the monitoring efforts required to maintain the CEMP, SWMP, CPP and applicable Planning Permission conditions
  • Ensure the delivery or regular and suitable HS&E awareness and training that underpins business objectives and support of the Project Delivery
  • Fully support the Investigation and reporting process on serious HS&E incidents and expedite the resolution of HS&E issues
  • Actively encourage and support the building of a positive project team spirit on all HS&E matters
Experience Required
  • 5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Proven background in industry EPC HS&E Manager position
  • A proven track record with capability to drive and promote HS&E values, and lead on all HSE matters
  • Sufficient and appropriate Site and Project and industry experience both internally and externally
Qualifications Needed
  • NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 and 2
  • IEMA Cert. In Environmental Management or equivalent
  • Membership of IOSH
