Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a IT Lead to join our Sizewell C Project.

As the IT Lead on Sizewell, you will be responsible for the Digital IT systems that are used, ensuring they are well maintained and continue to evolve in line with the requirements of the wider project.

You will work closely within the team and with our partners leading on IT requirements gathering, solution configuration, solution deployment of digital solutions while ensuring the solutions are well maintained.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior leadership team and senior functional leads, to champion incorporated Digital solutions that deliver their Business-as-usual activities.
  • Understand and document business requirements over the short, medium and longer term. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive data/information
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility 
  • Agree solution architecture & configurations to be used on each project.
  • Oversee development of any systems modifications & testing
  • Hands on implementation and training of the project systems suite
  • Responsible for the continuous development, maintenance, and continuous advancement of Digital solutions , ensuring all documentation is produced and managed in-line with NNB and nuclear legislative compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relevant metrics and performance indicators to allow provision of regular performance updates of the IT function activities and effects
  • Regular Liaison and engagement with subject matter experts in the wider Project.
  • Responsible for the management of digital budgets,  vendor contracts, SLA;s and performance reviews. 
Experience Required
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to analyse complex situations and effectively solve problems and drive an excellence culture. 
  • Experience of ICT systems, technical development, testing and system implementation
  • Understanding of GDPR and good practice of complex data management
  • Experience in providing IT support to highly regulated construction and engineering projects.
  • Confident and willing to challenge Norms - identifying and championing change & improvement.
  • An industrious can-do attitude supported by emotional and physical Resilience.
  • Management of, and clear concise communication to, stakeholders and essential professional supporting relationships.
  • Strong documentation development and writing skills. Post holder must have excellent oral communication skills, always communicating with Influence, and must be a capable and confident presenter of briefings, and security awareness and training.
  • Experiencing in managing people including knowledge of team development, leadership and coaching techniques.
