Job Description

A leading international infrastructure and engineering group, who deliver vital projects across a range of sectors including energy, highways, education, defence and oil & gas.

The role will provide proactive, commercial HR/Employee relations support to all divisions across the nuclear site. Responsible for the day-to-day management of all employee relations matters, IR management on site, HR/IR client stakeholder relations and support managers on people management challenges.

Proactively provide guidance and support to line managers on all types of employee relations matters including but not limited to disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, TUPE transfers, restructures for both white & blue collar employees.

  • Be responsible for ensuring correct processes are followed by people managers within a timely manner.
  • Support and drive workforce planning and resource forecasting for project delivery
  • Management of sponsored workers on site
  • Drive people mobilisation plan.
  • Involvement in apprenticeship, upskill and employability programmes for the sustained success of project
  • Provide commercial ER advice, considering options and risks.
  • Stakeholder management of client IR responsible persons, attending relevant IR council meetings and understanding wider site impacts
  • Participate as HR representative at employee relations meetings/hearings eg, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, capability, which includes analysis and interpretation of information which may be contentious, highly complex and sensitive.
  • Provide support and advice on long term sickness cases.
  • Support in the preparation of case documents including letters & reports
  • Prioritise and handle large call volumes
  • Be the first point of contact for line managers and follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Provide accurate reporting
  • Support HR Admin on site with onboarding.
  • Provide support to managers on suitable correspondence
