Job Description

Technical Mastery

  • They are responsible for supporting delivery of revenue growth and margin quality in their Practice or Service.
  • Approves final design including basis of design, technical specifications, plan layouts, schematics and detail design.
  • Leads safe and sustainable design initiatives and drives compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Typically manages team of technical professionals and ensures efficient business processes, utilisation, margin and leverage. Alternatively may lead through eminence and technical mastery.
  • Anticipates and resolves complex client issues in an effective and commercially viable manner.
  • Recognised internally and externally as an expert in chosen area. Demonstrates experience when dealing with complex technical issues.

Client Mastery

  • Anticipates new or emerging client needs; delivers value to the client in area of specialisation/eminence. Instils client confidence through leadership and building trust 
  • Demonstrates deep insight into the client business, industry, market; develops and maintains a strong internal and external network. Shares this knowledge with colleagues to grow the business.
  • Generates revenue opportunities with existing and new clients, in line with Blueprint; builds relationships across Capability and Practice groups to cross sell services. Establishes and grows relationships with new clients.
  • Continually seeks and responds to client feedback

Commercial Mastery

  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen. Drives sustainable financial performance across all focus areas.
  • Co-delivers the agreed financial budget and develops goals to achieve financial KPIs, in association with Practice Leader, Service Group Leader and Region / Country Managing Director.


  • Leads the strategic planning, design and implementation of complex solutions to meet client needs

Experience Needed To Apply

  • Leads the application and implementation of Aurecon’s methodology.
  • Accountable for adherence to Quality, Environment and Sustainability guidelines to ensure accountable project delivery and mitigate risk.
  • Champions completion of time reporting, billing and other financial compliance; adheres to Delegation of Authority.
  • Advocates and enables project teams to capture, share and use knowledge on projects to encourage innovation, improve operational effectiveness and/or enhance client experiences.

Digital Mastery

  • Has an overview knowledge of the company capability areas and can promote the value in client opportunities.
  • Is a visible advocate for the Innovation, Digital and Eminence pillars of Blueprint and how this translates to enhanced client value.
  • Engages with Digital Practice leaders to expand digital delivery opportunities.


  • Seeks out and presents opportunities to innovate how we deleiver value through Engage, Win, Deliver, leveraging tools such as Design to Innovate.
  • Able to articulate the competitive advantage innovation brings in addressing the client opportunity or problem, leveraging Design to Innovate tools.
  • Ensures that the innovation process is appropriately valued in tenders and proposals.
  • Actively engages with the Design to Innovate Partner and i40+ Lead to integrate innovation capabilities, including Design to Innovate into tailored client offerings.

Qualifications, Registrations & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
  • Registration or professional certifications to comply with local jurisdictional requirements (Washington Accord).
  • Promotion to this role is dependent on business demand and availability.
