What will you do?  

In this position you will join our Water team in Wellington where you will play an integral part in a national team of highly skilled specialists that ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for our clients.  With a focus on growing our Water business and improving the sustainability of our projects, we are actively recruiting for those passionate about working collaboratively and building on technical knowledge within this discipline. 

We know that the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are some of the key things you will do to bring ideas to life: 

  • Work on the design for multiple stormwater-related projects using a range of design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, 12D, AutoPIPE, or Civil 3D 
  • Commit to your own ongoing learning and professional development, as well as a willingness to share your learnings with others 
  • Support inter-disciplinary relationships and client relationships 
  • Mentor and develop the ongoing capability of junior members of the Water team

What can you bring to the team?  

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will need a relevant tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering and at least 3 years’ experience in the New Zealand Water industry on projects across water, wastewater, and/or stormwater. You love to collaborate with others, and you are passionate about the relationships you build. If you have experience (or are wanting to gain experience) in mentoring junior engineers, this will be of great value to your application. You will likely be starting to work towards Chartered status with Engineering New Zealand.
